Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 3, 2026

PostPulse is a tool for creating and editing social media post text. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the service.

1. Information you provide

When you use Generate, Quick Refine, or Strong opening, the following may be processed:

  • your notes or the current post text;
  • the selected social platform;
  • the language;
  • the niche, including any custom text you enter;
  • the tone, format, and requested length;
  • the refine instruction when you use Quick Refine.

Do not enter passwords, financial data, health information, special-category personal data, or other confidential information.

2. How the information is used

The information you submit is sent to the PostPulse server so the selected AI action can run and a result can be returned. The request may be processed by the hosting infrastructure that serves the application.

3. AI providers

To generate content, PostPulse uses external AI providers. Depending on the configuration, a request may be processed by OpenAI or Google Gemini. When OpenAI is the primary provider and that request fails, the same text and system instructions may be sent to Google Gemini as a fallback provider.

Processing by these providers is also subject to their own policies. Those providers may retain or use data according to their terms. This policy does not describe or limit their independent practices.

4. Local storage

Up to 5 recently generated posts are stored in localStorage under postpulse_history. The theme choice is stored under postpulse_theme. The selected interface language is stored under postpulse_language and stays only in this browser.

This data stays in the specific browser and device. The application does not sync it into its own user database. You can delete a single History entry, clear all History, or clear site data in the browser.

5. Abuse prevention

The IP address is processed temporarily by the server function. An HMAC-SHA256 pseudonymized identifier is created from it. Upstash Redis stores rate-limit counters for that identifier, not the post text.

The application does not include the raw IP or its digest in API responses. Vercel and internet infrastructure may process standard request metadata according to their own rules.

6. Hosting and technical providers

The service relies on:

  • Vercel for hosting and server functions;
  • Upstash for rate-limit counters;
  • OpenAI and/or Google Gemini for AI processing.

7. Cookies and analytics

As of the date of this policy, the application does not set its own cookies and does not include its own advertising or analytics integration. The functional localStorage described above is used for History and theme. If technologies that require consent are added later, this policy and the interface will be updated.

8. Data retention

Local History remains until you delete it or clear browser data. Rate-limit counters are limited to the relevant rate-limit windows. External providers manage retention under their own terms and policies.

9. Your choices

You can choose not to send sensitive information, edit text before sending it, delete local History, clear localStorage or site data, or contact us at the email below. The service does not offer account export or account-deletion tools, because it has no user accounts.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated. The new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
